WChannels (wchannels.online) — last updated 23 August 2026
WChannels is an autonomous video-marketing platform: client companies connect their own YouTube channel and optionally their Google Drive documents, and the platform produces and publishes videos on their behalf and reports how those videos perform. This policy explains what data the platform touches and how it is handled.
Information we collect
- Account data: your name, email address and company name, used to sign in to the client portal and to communicate with you.
- Google account authorization tokens: when you connect your YouTube channel or Google Drive, Google issues WChannels OAuth tokens scoped to what you approved (uploading videos to your channel, reading your channel's analytics, and reading only the Drive files you pick). We never see or store your Google password.
- Content you provide: brand-profile text and knowledge-base documents you upload or pick from Drive, used solely to generate your videos.
- YouTube analytics for your own channel: view counts, watch-time and audience statistics for videos the platform published to your channel, shown back to you in your portal and used to improve your videos.
Enquiries, quote requests and the mailing list
The public site has two forms: a one-field e-mail box, and a quote request. What you type into them is what we receive — your name, company, e-mail, optionally a phone number and country, and whatever you tell us about your brand and the work you want. It is used to answer you and to prepare a quotation, and for nothing else. We do not buy contact lists and we do not sell yours.
A submission is stored in our own database and, when the request is commercial, opened as a lead in our ERP (Odoo), which is where quotations, orders and invoices are issued. Both are operated by WChannels. If you subscribe and later want out, every mailing carries an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to erase an enquiry at any time using the contact address below.
How we use YouTube API Services
WChannels uses YouTube API Services to upload videos to the channel you connected and to retrieve that channel's performance statistics. By using WChannels you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke WChannels' access to your Google account at any time via Google security settings or by disconnecting the channel in your portal.
How we use Google Drive data (Limited Use)
Drive access uses the narrowest available scope: WChannels can only read the specific files and folders you explicitly pick. Their text is extracted so your videos are grounded in your own company materials, and it is used for no other purpose. WChannels' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Drive data is never sold, never used for advertising, and never read by humans except with your permission or for security and legal compliance.
Storage and retention
- Authorization tokens are stored encrypted in our database and are accessible only to the platform's publishing and analytics services — never to other clients and never to the browser.
- Knowledge-base documents and their extracted text are stored privately per client and are deleted when you remove them in the portal or end your service.
- We retain analytics about videos we published for as long as your account is active.
Sharing
We do not sell or share your data with third parties. Data leaves the platform only toward the services required to operate it (Google/YouTube APIs for your own channel and files, and our hosting and database providers) and when the law requires it.
Your choices
- Disconnect YouTube or Drive at any time — publishing and analytics for your channel stop immediately.
- Delete knowledge-base documents at any time in the portal.
- Ask us to delete your account and associated data entirely.
